With the tragic passing of Dr. Sam Francis, our people have lost a great advocate, a great thinker, and a great friend.

Possessed of a formidable intellect acknowledged by friend and foe alike, and a shy and gentle personality that belied his enormous courage, Dr. Francis will be missed by all who knew him.

At the March meeting of CFAR, we paid tribute to a man who has touched many of our lives.
