According to the Illinois Minuteman Project, HB1100 Driver’s Certificates for Illegals Moved to the Senate floor May 16, 2007 for a Final Vote in the Senate. What this means is simple the Sponsor’s of the Bill have processed the bill thru all Administrative Procedures and the bill is ready for a Final Reading and a vote as early as Tomorrow.

SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO TELL YOUR STATE SENATOR:

Tell Them: You are calling as a Citizen and then using your own words why you called, be direct yet courteous, and honest. Nothing is wrong with using notes and taking notes while conversing with the official. You will sometimes be asked to leave your name, city, and possible telephone number, that is standard procedure.

Ask to speak directly with the Senator if possible and if he is not available as a last resort leave a message for the Senator with their office Staff as to your opinion on the issue.

Tell your state Senator: The May 1st Illegal Alien Marches in Chicago are proof WE HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM WITH ILLEGAL ALIENS IN ILLINOIS and you will not tolerate the Illinois Legislator granting anymore Incentives to Illegal Aliens to come to our state.

Tell your state Senator: You do not want DRIVER’S CERTIFICATES FOR ILLEGAL Aliens and to “VOTE NO” on HB 1100.

Tell your state Senator: HB1100 is just another reward for ILLEGAL ALIENS who have violated our laws and another incentive to come to the state of Illinois and you will not tolerate the Illinois Legislator granting anymore Incentives to Illegal Aliens.

Tell your state Senator: Identity fraud among Illegal Aliens is epidemic and HB1100 will NOT guarantee the true identity of the Illegal Alien will be actually used when applying for the Driver’s Certificate; the Illegal Alien who can then flee the scene of an accident or fails to appear in court, only to disappear and reappear under another identity.

Tell your state Senator: HB1100 will NOT MAKE OUR ROADS SAFER, it will just make Illegal Aliens safer in attempting to avoid our laws. As a Matter of fact it will promote MORE Illegals to drive and now not in fear for the law.

Tell your state Senator: HB1100 even allows provisions of using a simple Non-Photo ID for obtaining such driver’s certificate.

Tell your state Senator: HB1100 even allows standard provisions to obtain the Driver’s Certificate without first having Insurance, (A Major Safety Argument for the Bill is they will be insured). Insurance is required ONLY after 30 days and ONLY on a vehicle to which the driver has title of ownership, thus only a veh that the State Can Prove is the Certificate Holder’s Vehicle. This does not account for vehicles the Cert Holder had previously registered using false ID and didn’t disclose during the licensing process, or any other vehicle owned by somebody else unlicensed or uninsured whom they borrow.

Tell your state Senator: HB1100 which requires the IL Secretary of States Office to aid and abet illegal aliens by collecting their False Driver’s Licenses and then being REQUIRED to destroy the evidence within 24 hours under most circumstances!

Tell your state Senator: (from article) What Dan Kairis, of South Elgin, told lawmakers when testifying against the bill IS 100% CORRECT. “You promised to uphold the law of the land,” said Kairis, 56. “These people are here illegally, if you vote for this, you are aiding and abetting criminals.”
