More on the illegal alien who murdered Kenosha Deputy Fabiano
In our original post when this story first broke, we made an “educated guess” that Ezequiel Lopez, the Mexican murderer of Kenosha Deputy Frank Fabiano, was in the U.S. illegally. It turned out we were right.
But there’s much more to the story. According to a report in NewsMax, Lopez has a “rap sheet” going back six years:
- In 2001, he was arrested in Utah for lewd and lascivious conduct.
- In 2003, he was arrested in Texas on a gun charge.
- In 2003, Lopez was picked-up in Missouri for OWI.
- In 2004, Kenosha Police arrested him on charges of domestic battery, disorderly conduct, bail jumping.
“Despite his contact with law enforcement authorities,” NewsMax writes drily, “he was never deported.”
And Tim Counts of Immigration and Customs Enforcement told TV station WTMJ, “We can find no record of having had contact with this individual before or having had him referred to us by another law enforcement agency.”
In other words, this illegal alien has been roaming freely throughout the U.S.—from Utah to Texas to Missouri to Wisconsin—and has been arrested several times, but the cops never bothered to alert immigration.
We’re afraid that Lopez’s disgusting story is not unusual. And we suspect that it wasn’t sloppy work by the cops on the street, but rather—as in Chicago—orders from higher-ups that illegal aliens are to be treated with kid gloves, and never to be handed over for deportation.

A similar incident to the one in Kenosha also happened in Denver. As Michelle Malkin reports, an illegal in Denver raped and sodomized his girlfriend’s 9-year-old daughter. He was arrested and jailed, and federal immigration officials were notified. ICE, however, did not put an immigration hold on him, so he was able to slip away. A private bounty hunter has tracked him down in Mexico, but even now, as Malkin writes, “no one’s lifting a finger to bring him back here to face charges.” Yet another case of U.S. authorities steadfastly refusing to do anything to “offend” illegal aliens, or their rich and powerful aiders and abettors in the U.S.
