Among other things, Wright reiterated his belief that the U.S. government may well have created the AIDS epidemic as a way of killing off racial minorities. He also applauded Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan as one of the most important voices of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Obama’s newfound white side is appalled. “When I say I find these comments appalling, I mean it. It contradicts everything I am about and who I am,” Obama said, adding that Wright’s comments “end up giving comfort to those who prey on hate.”

Nonetheless, the bill has powerful enemies: those who want to dilute our nationhood and our culture with as many non-Americans as possible—even if they’re violent felons! Sadly, there are many such individuals in the Illinois legislature.

Currently, the bill is stalled in the Illinois House Rules Committee. Its enemies, of course, want it to die there. Want to help? Here’s what you can do:

• Contact the rules committee members (preferably by phone or snail mail as opposed to e-mail and voice your support for the bill
• Ask you state rep. to support the bill.

The article castigates the top Chicago law firms for—you guessed it—lack of “diversity,” which is a code word for too many white lawyers!

Holland & Knight topped the list of “offenders” with only—gasp—seven minority attorneys out of 132 lawyers and one minority equity partner out of 38. (In the article, the firm of course expresses contrition and a desire to do better.) Locke Liddell was named as the second “worst.”

Furthermore, it was shown that two firms, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal and Katten Muchen Rosenmann, did not have any equity partners of color.

All of these firms might be good places to try if you want a white lawyer!

The town has enacted a measure that will forbid illegal aliens from buying or renting homes. If they do, the penalties will be paid by the sellers and landlords, not the slippery illegals themselves.

Yes, there is controversy, and yes, the big-money boys are sure to step in and finance the inevitable challenges to the measure. But for now, it’s on the books and in force. And even more important than the legal power of the measure is its moral power: it shows that the citizens of this small town have the courage to pull together against the illegal alien threat, and to do what’s right. Hopefully, more Chicagoland towns will do the same!

Given Evanston’s reputation as an ultra-liberal bastion of “diversity,” this is hardly surprising. Harder to understand is why the American majority doesn’t put an end to this practice, period. After all, cities and towns cannot declare themselves “sanctuaries” of illegal drug use, child pornography, cruelty to animals, or other social ills. Yet illegal immigration, arguably, will do more to destroy our society than all of these things combined as Americans are displaced from their neighborhoods, workplaces, and public institutions by an alien people.

An Indian family living in Oak Forest, Illinois, has brought something particularly unpleasant to the Chicagoland: the custom of enforcing India’s cast system by punishing violators with death by fire.

As MSNBC reports,

A blaze that killed a couple and their 3-year-old son in their suburban Chicago apartment may have had its point of origin on the other side of the world, in India’s ancient Hindu caste system.

Prosecutors say Subhash Chander, an immigrant from India, doused the place with gasoline and set the fire - killing his pregnant daughter, son-in-law and their child - because he believed the young woman had married beneath her station.

Of course, violent crime can and does occur among Americans too. Such brutal and cruel forms of murder, however, are rare, especially among whites.

But not in India. As the MSNBC article puts it,

In India, women are commonly killed in disputes over dowries, with the victims often doused with gasoline and set on fire in what the killers sometimes explain away as kitchen accidents.

Regardless of the outcome of the Presidential primaries and general election, one thing is for certain: well-heeled open borders advocates will continue to exert their influence in an attempt to destroy what little sense of identity, and of self-defense, we still possess as Americans. We’ll need strong advocates for our cause in the Congress. Jim Oberweis is one of them!

But Waukegan didn’t back down; and now, the Lake County Sheriff is making a similar move. As the News-Sun reports, Sheriff Mark Curran, too, has made formal application to ICE for similar authority.

“This is not open to debate or discussion,” Curran said. “We decided no one’s going to bully us. It’s the right thing to do.”

Curran indicated that protests in Waukegan earlier this year over Waukegan’s decision to seek 287 (g) status played a role in the decision not to announce the application before it was formally submitted.

He added that the application was a matter of public record and that officials made sure the decision was on firm legal ground.

Like Biang, Curran does not intend to make large-scale sweeps of the enormous illegal alien population, but intends to limit enforcement to “the baddest of the illegals,” i.e. those convicted of violent crimes, sex offenses and Class X or Class 1 drug felonies. The felons would be required to serve out their jail sentences, and would then be deported.

Still, this is a major step in the right direction. Few American political leaders dare to even hint at the fact that Americans have a right to live in their own country, while illegal aliens don’t.

But even this modest step won’t come easy. Wayne Hunter, the county’s director of homeland security, stated that “the ICE approval process is a slow one, and that he expects approval to be at least a year away. But he said as the first sheriff’s office in Illinois to make the request, the county may have beaten the rush.”

Why is the process so slow? What’s so difficult about producing a few pages of paperwork granting a local sheriff the authority to enforce existing laws? The elites of the federal government don’t really want immigration laws enforced. (Think of Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean, who are still sitting in prison for doing their jobs!) It’s relatively easy for the federal government to lean on their own employees to enforce immigration laws laxly and sporadically, if at all. But exercising control over hundreds of local jurisdictions, who really want to enforce the law, will be much more difficult. Small wonder that the feds are dragging their feet on this one!

Kind of like John Gotti trying to position himself as a champion of law and order, don’t you think?
